From Lowest to Highest

My name is Adam Peterman, and I'm a senior at Hellgate High School in Missoula, Montana. For my senior project, my cross country coach Mike Foote and I will attempt to travel on our own power from the lowest point in the US to the highest point in the lower 48. From Badwater, in Death Valley, California at -280 feet, to Mount Whitney, Calaifornia, 14,500 feet tall and 150 miles away. This will be the adventure of a lifetime, and we are fundraising for the nonprofit Outdoor Nation, whose mission is promote getting Youth outdoors!

Course Map

This is the route we will be biking from Badwater Basin to Whitney Portal! From there we will hike up another 6000 ft in 11 Miles (through snow) to the summit!
